And So The Blogging Begins....

To start, I've never been one for blogging or throwing myself out there (unless it's Facebook of course). Fir the last few months I've thought about having a reason to blog about my photography adventures. It wasn't until I met Jordan and Jessica at Satarbuck's on a very cold January afternoon to discuss the possibility of me being their photographer for their June 17th wedding. Well here it is, a week and a half before the big day and I couldn't be happier for this couple. Yes, they did hire me to be their photographer and I am so excited about capturing their special day (along with 3 other photographers).

Let me do some background coverage as far as my photography work goes:

I started becoming interested in photography in July 2006 when my cousin was born. Granted I spent the first 2 years of his life capturing his innocence and growth with a simple digital point and shoot. In June 2008, my parents bought me a semi-professional grade camera and after posting many pictures of family and friends by December 2008 I was asked by a friend to photograph her little sisters for the holidays and thus, my photographers journey really began. I've photographed many children and families since then. I've been blessed beyond a doubt that I have had friends that have helped support me and my establishing photography business and have even been kind enough to give my information to their friends and work colleagues.

I've taken a few photography classes through the local Community College and have been asked by one of the professors to help him in assisting at weddings. I've been able to accompany him and another photographer at wedding to see how the whole process pans out. After assisting at weddings a several times, I felt that it was time for me to spread my Photography Wings and do this on my own - Jordan and Jessica have so much faith in me when it comes to capturing their special day and I couldn't feel more at ease.

I met Jordan and Jessica several years ago at a Young Adults ministry gathering where I was a part of the worship team and afterwards the whole group would go to Applebee's and get something to eat. I met Jordan first and then about a year later, Jessica started coming to the Young Adults gathering. I'm not going to lie when I have this innate sense that once I meet a couple, I can tell whether or not they are going to get married. I knew this from the very beginning with Jordan and Jessica.

Jordan and Jessica, I love you both and I am so proud and honored to be your photographer at your wedding. Your faith in me has meant more to me then anything and I am so glad that I have been a part of walking through this wedding planning process with you both.

Until Next Time.....
